Al Roker and NBC's Today Show hit Bozeman, Montana, giving $1,230,000 to a local charity on the morning of the longest day of the year, June 22, 2010.
At 4:45am Roker showed up at Bozeman's Eagle Mount, a local organization providing quality therapeutic recreational opportunities for people with disabilities or cancer.
Donations included nine acres of land adjacent to Eagle Mount's present location, a 15-passenger van, a quarter horse from Tom Brokaw, sports equipment, four solar panels, a truckload of ranch supplies from Murdoch's, and other gifts.
Al Roker is the face behind the Today Show's "Lend a Hand" charitable organization, which will visit five cities across the United States during the week of June 21th - 25th, 2010.
Lend a Hand "...helps small charities across the country that work toward improving conditions in their communities."
